Medicinal recipes discovered by the Ancient Egyptians

Where the ancient Egyptians discovered treatment with herbs and plants before others of the ancients, as remnants of them were found inside their tombs, in addition to mentioning them in many medical papyri, as they were painted on the walls of temples and tombs, so what is now called alternative medicine through herbal and plant treatment. The ancient Egyptians used duck, crocodile, and snake fat to treat hair loss and baldness by applying it over the head for up to 4 days until hair growth began again. They also used lettuce leaves and fenugreek seeds to treat hair loss. They also used many oils for hair growth and strengthening, such as almond and fenugreek, Rosemary, and castor oil.

Treating wounds and burns

The ancient Egyptians used aloe vera as a quick and powerful remedy for external wounds and burns. They also praised it as a laxative for the intestines and a drink to remove bile.

The ancient Egyptians used the myrtle plant in many therapeutic recipes to treat cystitis, regulate urine and remove lower abdominal pain in doses taken orally.

Treatment of indigestion and intestinal colic

The ancient Egyptians used cumin to treat cases of indigestion and intestinal colic. They also used it in cases of fever and tapeworm. They also made ointments and analgesics for stomach pain, rheumatic pain, joints, and colds.

Coughing and whooping cough

Aloe vera contraceptive 

In the past, Egyptian women used aloe vera leaf juice as a contraceptive because of its effectiveness in killing sperm. It was proven by the ancient Egyptian papyri, which was proven by modern science thousands of years later. As a method of contraception, many scientific studies have been conducted that prove the effectiveness of this drug in preventing pregnancy.

Many surgical instruments, such as scalpels, peat, and other medical instruments, were found in ancient Egyptian tombs.

The ancient Egyptians were the first to discover and use surgical threads. They were found in many mummies. The ancient Egyptians also discovered injections thousands of years ago.
