Egypt has known since ancient times many types of flowers that the Egyptian land was famous for, with its Nile soil and its moderate sunny climate most of the year, and I found many flower drawings on Pharaonic antiquities, which reflect the interest of the ancient Egyptians in planting and caring for flowers. Perhaps the most prominent pharaonic flower is the lotus flower, taken by Egypt’s army as a motto for him in Pharaonic times. It is the most famous Egyptian flower.
Municipal roses
The Baladi rose is an amazing Egyptian flower with red, purple, and other colours. The rose is called “the king of flowers” because the roses have a beautiful shape and a smart scent that stays for a long time. Violets
Violet trees are like small herbs, but they are decorative bushes whose leaves are in the form of discs that have a long neck and their flowers are in the axes of the bushes; each flower grows in a branch and has a blade that is not long, and the colour of the flowers is white or purple. Violet has heart-shaped leaves, and its flowers have long stems that are yellow or blue. Narcissus
Its leaves resemble pentagonal or hexagonal discs, and the leaf is upright. Two large, sulphur-coloured flowers crown the plant. The daffodil flowers are picked early in the morning, have a pungent smell, and are stronger than those picked in the middle of the day because they have few essential oils that evaporate with the high temperature of the air.
Camellia
Dendritic girls grow flowers in winter and spring, and camellia flowers are pink, red, or white. It is a beautiful Egyptian plant that lives in the shade. It only needs a small amount of sunlight, but it needs a lot of light. Camellia can be grown with seeds or planting, and its cuttings are buds from the stem. One of the plants is planted from September to February every year.
Willow
A large tree that grows on the shores of canals and drains, and it rises to about 25 metres; its branches are medium flat and erect in shape, olive green topped with white fluff; its leaves have pointed ends; the length of the paper is 12 cm; and the width is 3 cm. The blade of the tree has a serrated edge; it has some yellow flowers, and most of the flowers are white. It is an ornamental and beautiful tree.
Sit El Hassan
A beautiful plant whose scientific name is “Belladonna”. It grows in hot and temperate countries. It is an herb, not a wild tree. Its height is 600 to 4150 cm. Its roots are thick, its stems are strongly erect, and its leaves are oval in shape and tender but greasy. As for the Six El Hassan flowers, they are in the form of a beautiful red bell and have fruited Green peas, which then turn into a red flower and turn black after ripening. It is not eaten because it is toxic and ripens to produce seeds.
Henna flowers
Henna is an agricultural shrub whose roots are red, stems and branches are fluffy in bark, and the bark is white in color. Its leaves are opposite and small, with a hump-shaped neck, and it is bright green. Leaves and flowers are used to dye hair and strengthen it to treat it.
Chickpea flour
The cultivation of chickpeas is abundant in Upper Egypt; they are an agricultural herbaceous plant around the leg of a harsh squash with a bulb that rises from 30 to 50 cm. Its leaves are compound, and its leaves are oval and serrated. The flowers are pivotal; the colour tends to be red and white. The fruits of chickpeas are egg-shaped pods with a hooked tip, and this fruit is beautiful in taste and has health benefits.
Sunflower flowers
The flower of the sunflower plant is a tall, medium-stemmed plant, but it is hollow, and this flower is like the disc of the sun that blooms with the first light of the sun, turns to shining, and continues to move with the movement of the sun until it reaches its setting. The sunflower plant is an agricultural plant about two metres long. Its leg is rigid and erect, its bark is weak, and its leaves are large in the shape of a heart and a plant of slaves. The sun is considered sacred by Indians and loved by Egyptians.
Aloe vera blossom
It is a yellow flower in colour and large in size. It is a fleshy plant that is rich in green chlorophyll. It is high, from 2 to 5 metres. Its annual plates are oval in shape, with a length of 30 to 40 cm and a width of 20 to 50 cm. Greenback and has long thorns. The flowers are characterised by salivary and sugary substances, citric acid, and acid. Apples and their fruits are very nutritious.
Iris flowers
The white iris is a plant with a height of 60 to 100 cm; its flowers are large and fragrant; their colour is blue; the middle is a yellow colour; the leaves of the lily plant are articulated; the stem is strong; and some of the flowers are white, topped by a red tawshah, a scarlet leaf, and a yellow rib from 5 to 8 cm.
Papyrus flowers
The
papyrus plant is a tall plant of the tent family and grows in the swamps of the Delta. Its roots go deep into the mud, and its stems extend upward in the form of a triangular section. As for the papyrus, flowers are tents and have dense thickets that resemble the sun’s disc. It was used in the manufacture of papyrus for writing and was called royal paper. An evergreen plant that used to offer bouquets of papyrus flowers in temples to draw close to God, and this plant still exists in Bahr al-Ghazal, south of the Nile.
Pomegranate blossom
The pomegranate is a tree with a height of 3 to 5 metres. Its stem is smooth; its branches are erect; and its leaves are opposite and shape a spear. Pomegranate blossoms have five petals and are purple in colour. Huge spherical fruits with the teeth of the cup come out with a hard peel and start green in colour and then begin to redness with ripening inside the fruits. Strawberries and berries
Strawberry is a long creeping herbaceous plant; its triangular leaves are the rectangular foreground, its blade is rough to the touch and bright green, and its many flowers are long and violent. The fruits of strawberries are medium or large, but the predominant shape is oval or Qurtisan; their color is bright red. It is similar to the shape of strawberries, nourishing urine and purifying blood, while mulberry trees are wild and agricultural trees.

Mint
A wild herbaceous plant with a hollow stem that rises from 10 to 30 cm. It has small leaves, and its flowers are green in colour and have an aromatic smell.
