The Divine Birth of Hatshepsut

It was very difficult or not possible for a woman to ascend the throne of Egypt, but Queen Hatshepsut wanted to reach the throne.

The road was paved in front of her since, after the death of her husband, King Thutmose II, his son Thutmose III from his secondary wife ascended the throne of Egypt, but he was very young, and Hatshepsut was his guardian.

And because she was the legal daughter of her father, Tuthmosis the First, she saw that she was more entitled to the throne of Egypt and tried to reach it by various means.

She was making strong appearances and imitating men. With the help of the priests, she invented the myth of the divine birth, which was inscribed on the walls of her temple (Deir el-Bahari) to commemorate her memory, but these inscriptions are now smashed.

This is to strengthen its position and prove its merit to ascend the throne.

Legend says:
One day, the god Amun-Ra met with some of his companions and told them about his desire to create his son to rule Egypt and be from his human wife, so the choice fell on Ahmose, the mother of Hatshepsut.

The scene is shown on the walls of the temple: the god Amun Ra sitting in front of Queen Ahmose and presenting her the ankh sign (The key to life) to her nose as if giving her life.

Then the god Amun orders the god Khnum, the god of creation, to form the body of the princess. The goddess gives Haqqat the spirit of life to that image, and then Khnum and Haqat cooperate to help Queen Ahmose from Birth until the birth of Hatshepsut.

Finally, Queen Ahmose appears carrying Hatshepsut, and then we find the goddess Hathor offering to the god Amon his daughter Hatshepsut and saying to see his daughter and his beloved Hatshepsut, and then Amon walks to Hatshepsut and joins her and says that she is the queen who ascends the throne of Egypt.

Thus was the myth of Hatshepsut, which proved that her rule was tantamount to implementing a divine desire to convince the people of her right to inherit the throne.
