The art of drawing in ancient Egypt
The art of prominent and sunken painting and engraving flourished in ancient Egypt; As evidenced by the walls of tombs and temples. The artist dealt with the walls as drawing and engraving surfaces and tried to invest all available spaces. The drawing was not a single artist’s work. Because works of painting and engraving in ancient Egypt were carried out in three stages, with the contribution of several categories of artists: each of these has its own field of expertise and specialization. And in the first stage, the primary main lines that give shape features were drawn. The colouring begins in the second stage; Start with the wider areas, and advance to colouring the drawing details. Then comes the last stage, in which you draw the fine lines that give the details.
