Silver for the ancient Egyptians
The ancients knew the metal of silver, but they called it “white gold.” They considered it a type of gold, but it was of the lowest degree. Silver jewellery often contained a percentage of a gold medal, usually ranging between 9%: 38%, especially in ancient and middle state jewellery. The Egyptians have benefited and imported silver from the Asian country. However, the silver ornaments in Egyptian antiquities are few about the gold works. The quantities of silver extracted from the Egyptian sources were more scarce than the quantities of gold and one of the clearest examples of silver jewellery. What was found within a group?
