Why did the ancient Egyptians choose to bury their dead in this area (west of the city of Thebes)?
In his book The Divine Comedy, the great Italian poet (Dante) says (If you want to search for evil, you will only find it in yourselves)…
The researcher in the sciences of ancient Egypt is fully aware that Egypt is the gift of the Creator to humanity .. that the ancient Egyptians are the first people in the world who understood the meaning of existence, the Creator, life and death.
And that Egypt is a microcosm of the universe and that death is followed by life … and life is followed by death…
East is life
West is death
Thus, the ancient Egyptians realized with their sophisticated thought the meaning of death and life.
The West is the city of the dead, and it is the other world, where the dead left the East with its beautiful fields, travelling by the sun’s boat daily from sunset to sunrise. The ancient Egyptian believed that the dead were deported to the west, and their souls moved to the sky. Therefore, they had to choose the western region to bury the dead. This area is (Valley of the Kings – West of Luxor)
The Valley of Kings is the horizon of absolute eternity … where the righteous live in the fields of (aero) and the paradise of eternity, bliss and picturesque trees …
As for the sinners, their fate is (Hell), which is the area of dense fire and in the centre of it is the burning lake of the burning fire.
What a beautiful ancient Egyptian when he transmitted all his deep thoughts about life and death on the Valley of the King’s walls…
Please look with me at the walls of the graves. You will not find any cemetery devoid of scenes of trial in the other world and the scale of the heart.
All walls in graves express belief in the Great Creator and the idea of life after death, Death means sunset, but it does not mean the end because sunset is certain, followed by sunrise and life again the universe, life, human beings, and death are the creation of the Great Creator.
And the earthly world is an image and reflection of the celestial world separated by a deep river similar to t.The Nile on the land of Egypt.
