Our Representative will pick you up from your Cairo hotel so you can go on this unforgettable Day Trip to Alexandria. We’ll visit Pompey’s Pillar first. The structure was built at the close of the fourth century AD as a tribute to Emperor Diocletian. It was previously part of the Serapeum, a beautiful temple that stood beside the Soma and the Caesarean. Then, we’ll head to the Catacombs, the largest Roman Cemetery, and a three-tiered underground tunnel system. After refueling at a local Alexandrian restaurant, we’ll visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Qaitbay Citadel, constructed on the site of ancient pharaohs (a lighthouse) in the city. At last, our Representative will take you back to your Cairo hotel.
