Move on to the oldest large stone construction in the world, the Step Pyramids of Zoser. It was commissioned by King Djoser III somewhere around 2630 B.C.

We will have lunch in a café in Cairo. Then we’ll Stay in Cairo for the night.

Day 02: Egyptian Museum & Salah Din Citadel
After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you to the Salah el Din Citadel, where you can see the Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali, created by a Turkish man who traveled from Istanbul to work on the project. Mohamed Ali ruled Egypt for 45 years, from 1805 to 1849.
After lunch at a local Cairo establishment, you’ll head to the Egyptian Museum to see some incredible Pharaonic treasures. The museum has the world’s greatest and most valuable collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, spanning around 5,000 years of history.

Among the nearly two hundred and fifty thousand authentic objects on display is a section devoted to Tutankhamen’s wealth, gold, and jewelry, which had lain undisturbed in his tomb for almost 3,500 years before being discovered in the 1920s during the excavation of his tomb. If you have time, continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you may explore the historic Khan el Khalil Bazaar. After that, return to Alexandria Port in a comfortable, up-to-date vehicle.
