Your guide and driver will take you up from Alexandria Port (near the cruise exit door) for a day trip to Pompay’s Pillar. It was built in the 4th century in honor of Emperor Diocletian. Once a beautiful temple, it rivaled the Soma and Caesarean. Then you will explore the Catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery with three rock levels. After lunch in Alexandria, we will visit Qaitbay Citadel, situated on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) and Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Finally, our Representative will take you back to Alexandria Port, where you’ll board your ship.
