Wekalet El Ghoury, constructed in 1504 A.D. during the reign of the Mamelukes, is where the Al Tanoura Egyptian Dance event will take place, and our representative will pick you up from your hotel and take you there. El Tanoura Troupe for the Cultural Heritage has performed in over 30 countries, and their shows are often regarded as the best examples of Egyptian folk music presented in the evening. A few local Egyptian artists will open the show with some folk music selections, giving an early taste of Egypt’s rich musical history. The Tanoura Dance performance follows, and the event concludes with a spiritual Whirling Dervish (Darawish). There will be a transfer back to your hotel when the show concludes.
N.B Please be aware that doors open at 18:15, and the concert begins at 19:30.
