Day 01: Cairo Drive To El Minya / Tuna El Gabal
Your private guide and driver will take you up from your accommodation in Cairo or Giza in the morning and bring you to El Minya, a journey of around 4 hours. Upon reaching El-Minya, enjoy a tour of the city and its surrounding area, including the broad plain where Akhenaton is said to have received heavenly inspiration for its construction. Visit the tomb of Petosiris, the Ibis catacombs, and the tomb of Isadora (2nd century AD), who was renowned for her beauty in the city of Hermopolis, before returning to El Minya for the night. Lunch will be provided at a restaurant in El Minya.
Day 02: Beni Hassan – Tel El Amarna / Drive Back To Cairo
Your tour guide will take you to Beni Hassan first thing in the morning, where you’ll visit the tombs of Bakhet III (Governor of the Oryx Nome), Khnumhotep (Governor of Upper Egypt under Amenemhat III of the 12th Dynasty), and Khety (It belongs to a governor in the 11th dynasty). After refueling at a neighborhood restaurant, we’ll head to Tel El Amarna to explore the northern tombs, including the Ahmose Tomb and the Huya Tomb. In the evening, our representative will take you back to Cairo.
