Regarding scenes of what is wrongly known as Dandara lamps: These shapes are the subject of great controversy and discussion between many archaeologists and ancient Egyptian history and those with Egyptomania, as some believe that these shapes represent lamps and that the ancient Egyptians knew lighting by lamps. But in fact, the texts accompanying these scenes and found in one of the southern caches of the temple of Dendera indicate otherwise, as the god (Hor Sama Tawi) (son of the goddess Hathor and the god Horus) was depicted in several forms such as (the falcon – the child – the snake); The texts mention that the god (Horus Sama Tawi) emerges from the eternal waters in the form of a snake and is surrounded by the aura of the eternal ocean of the universe, and as the myths of the creation of several doctrines mention that the first to emerge from the eternal waters was a snake, and it also mentioned that he emerged from the lotus flower like the god Ra Which emerged from the lotus flower at the beginning of creation also, and we remember here the head of Tutankhamun emerging from the lotus flower, and this deity “Hor Sama Tawi” was depicted in the form of a snake and was worshiped in this way in a town called (Ghati) or (Khadi) located on The eastern bank of the Nile Dandara, its current location is unknown, and his worship in that town was associated with agriculture and fertility of agricultural lands, and what confirms this connection to the scene here is the lotus flowers planted in the eternal ocean of Noon, which emerged from it in the form of the snake, which is abundant in agricultural lands as well. Therefore, one of these shapes represents a symbol of fertility and renewal, as it carries a clear religious and mythological significance. As for the two figures with each other, they represent the Egyptian word (itrty), meaning north and south or the two compartments (northern “Bhutto” and southern “cape”). This word appeared in the Egyptian language in the Ptolemaic and Roman eras and was written in these two forms together. There may be a relationship between these two figures and the location of this. The cache in which these scenes are located is located in the southeast corner of the temple. The name (Horus Sama Tawi) itself means (Horus unified the two lands “North and South”), so raising these two signs (itrty) in this way is to raise the status of North and South Egypt and represent And veneration for the meaning of the name of the god (Hor Sama Tawi). The scene, very briefly, is nothing but a representation of the myth of the creation of the idol (Hor Sama Tawi), the master of the city of “Khadi”, raising him and confirming his rule using the pillars of “Al-Bad” … Greetings.
