Meaning of the word Sphinx

The word “sphinx” comes from tShingoek word “Shingo”, shaping in strangulation or shaping in, meaning tight link, and this is for the Greek Sphinx. The Egyptian Sphinx represents the head of a smiling king who wears his headdress decorated with a lion’s body, and some of them consider him the son of the Egyptian sun goddess (Ra). Another type of Egyptian sphinx is in the form of a ram and is affiliated with another god (Amon). The Phoenicians and the Greeks weaved erect statues that resemble the sphinx. However, it was a winged head with a woman’s head, and it was said that it was a gryphon, and this object was strangling its victims. Hence, the name came from the result of the mating of two Greek monsters: Typhon (an object with 100 poisonous heads killed by Zeus himself) and Echidna ( An object with a beautiful fairy head and a giant snake body). And, of course, we have other offspring of horror creatures, including Seven Nimea, Tiberius, Ladon, Kimera, and Hydra.
