Huge statues
Carving colossal statues became common in the era of the modern state as a form of strong display. Many huge statues of kings were carved until one of them reached a height of meters. His remains are still present in Tanis, a witness to his greatness and great size.
Kings were also depicted in statues from huge blocks, one block for each statue of sandstone, limestone, or granite, in an early era dating back to the Old Kingdom.
However, the largest statues that came to us from ancient Egypt were made for two kings of the New Kingdom, Amenhotep III, who was later known as Memnon and Ramses II, who made several huge statues that completely resemble him the resemblance.
The making of these huge statues required the skill of the innovative artist with the precision of the architect because the artist could hardly see his subject more than once and see such talent in the rock giants Abu Simbel However, these statues carved into the face of the rock did not include the general problem of the issue of transportation and accommodation contained in the huge statues that were carved in the quarries and then moved and erected in front of temples at great distances.
I found some pieces of these huge statues in the city of Tanis, where an eye was found more than 40 cm long, and the Ramesseum was found beside the huge statues that Herodotus admired in Memphis, and today we can see two of these last statues in good condition, and they are

The statue of Ramses II, made of granite, and its height 10 meters high, which is now located in the façade of the Grand Museum
There are also statues whose base was made with the feet of one piece. As for the statues of Amenhotep the Third, standing in the south of Karnak, we find them standing directly on the sole.
It bears witness to the skill of Amenhotep bin Hapu, the revered professor who specialized in these works and who was able to make huge statues of stone of King Amenhotep III.
