Egypt Magic [1481]
The incomplete head of the beautiful Nefertiti, Akhenaten’s wife, was found in the ruins of the city of Amarna, to which he moved in the fifth year of his rule and established a new capital in it to be the centre of his new religious vocation, which is the worship of Aton only without other deities.
The head was found in the workshop of a sculptor called Thutmose, and perhaps the reason it was not completed yet is that he used it as a model through which he taught his students the method and methods of sculpture!
The head is made of brown quartz; it was found in Amarna, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, circa 1353
