A throne chair made of wood covered with gold foil and inlaid with semi-precious stones and coloured glass. Highly decorated, belonging to King Tutankhamun. It was found in an attached room in the tomb of Tutankhamun.
The chair is foldable, the wooden seat is studded with ebony and ivory and is coloured with dyes to simulate the skin of a tiger, while the legs end with beautifully inlaid duck heads, between the legs, there is a half of the Samtawy symbol, which represents the unification of the two lands … In the upper part on the back, we see the shape of an eagle with its wings extended to protect Asma, The king.
