Alabaster boat of King Tutankhamun
The alabaster boat is carved on a base representing a square lake. Inlaid with stained glass colours and semi-precious stones with golden leaves.
In the centre of the boat is a room in the shape of a compartment, topped by a pergola, carried by two naves with double crowns composed of lotus and papyrus elements. It formed the front and back of the boat in the form of a two-horn antler.
While a squat princess sits naked at the front, holding lotus flowers, and at the helm, a female dwarf is holding a reed by which to measure the hollow of water.
It is believed to have been used as a hub during ceremonies and banquets.
