Our expert Egyptologist will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor at 7:00 am. and drive you 50 kilometers north of Luxor to the Dendera Temple, about 4 kilometers from the River. The Greeks equated the goddess Hathor with Aphrodite, and the city served as a major religious center for the goddess. The location is home to numerous buildings from various eras in Egypt’s past. Despite this, the Hathor temple built by the Greeks and Romans between 54 and 29 BC stands out the most today. The building is still standing and open to the public, where they can explore its columned halls, underground chambers, and stairways, all covered in hieroglyphic inscriptions.

We’ll move further north to Abydos, one of the earliest cities in ancient Egypt, where we will see the temple of Osiris, the “God of the Underworld.”. We’ll also see The Abydos Kings List, an inscription from the 19th dynasty that can be found in Seti I memorial temple.
