Welcome to our day trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel, where we’ll see the famed temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. Our journey begins with a three-hour pleasant transfer from your hotel to Abu Simbel. We’ll appreciate the breathtaking backdrop of the desert terrain while learning about the rich history of the temples.
We’ll have plenty of time to visit the temples and their surrounds once we get at Abu Simbel. The Temple of Ramses II houses four huge pharaoh statues, each towering over 20 metres tall. Inside the temple, we’ll be amazed by the beautiful carvings depicting scenes from Egyptian mythology and history.
The Temple of Queen Nefertari, devoted to the goddess Hathor, will be our next stop. It has magnificent carvings and reliefs of the queen and her husband, Ramses II. We’ll learn about the temple’s renovation and its significance in the Nubian desert.
