A pectoral bearing the name of Tutankhamun’s throne.
A masterpiece of the treasures of Tutankhamun. It is a bra decorated in a complex way: the central part of the pectoral, which represents the king’s name, consists in the middle of a large scarab of lapis lazuli. Below is a hieroglyphic sign “neb”, which looks like a basket inlaid with blue glass; Above this are electromagnetic and lunar disks.
The outer edges of the chest are decorated with two chested cobras that appear to be very large compared to the signs of the Ankh and the eyes of Horus, which were depicted tightly under the king’s name.
Central scarab equipped with falcon wings. In the lower part of the chest is a frieze of lotus flowers interspersed with corn and round flowers, all inlaid with lapis lazuli, agate, and stained glass.
From the tomb of Tutankhamun, Valley of the Kings, west of Thebes. Now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
